Stanley "Big Stan" M. Hrycyszyn, 75, of Northampton, died Oct. 29, 2012 in Gracedale. He was the husband of the late Barabra L. (Yanders) Hrycyszyn.
Born in Northampton, he was a son of the late Michael and Agnes (Wenglowicz) Hrycyszyn.
He was in the United States Navy.
He retired from Bridesburg Foundry, Whitehall, after many years of employment.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7293, Egypt; Eckley E. Patch Post 470, Bath; Lappawinzo Fish and Game, Northampton; Petersville Rod and Gun Club; and Northampton Fire Company No. 1.
Charles T. Cerva, 57, of Walnutport, died Nov. 5, 2012, at his home. He was the husband of Gail Elaine (Mackus) for 33 years.
Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Joseph and Ruth (Rathjen) Cerva.
He was the owner/operator of Cerva Brothers Tile Creations, Walnutport, for six years. Before that, he drove for Malone Trucking, R.L. Jeffries Trucking and AL & Bass trucking for 10 years.
William L. Thomas, 65, of Northampton, died at home Nov. 1, 2012, of cancer. He was the husband of Sandra Smith Achey Thomas.
He was born in Scranton.
He was in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He worked at various construction companies. He designed rooms with mood lighting and made custom furniture.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son; two stepsons, Max Achey and Michael and his wife Laurie Achey; a stepdaughter, Sherry Alfaro; mother-in-law, Ellen Roth; sister-in-law, Mary and her husband Rick Faryna; and nephews.
Jarrell W. Hart, 47, of Whitehall, died Oct. 31, 2012, at L.V. Hospital Center, Allentown. He was the husband of Linda R. (Schmidt) Hart, for 25 years.
Born in Flint, Mich., he was a son of the late Jarrell and Edith (Bructon) Hart.
He was employed by Samuel Geltman and Company, Whitehall, as an apartment maintenance technician for the past 24 years.
He was a social member of the Fullerton Fire Company.
Edward C. Hilt, 60, of Slatington, died Nov. 2, 2012, in L.V. Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Elaine M. (Torick) Hilt for 26 years.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Edward F. and Stephanie (Yastrop) Hilt.
He was a Whitehall High School graduate.
He worked for Duggan and Marcon.
He attended St. John's United Church of Christ, Fullerton.
He was a member of Grouse Hall.
He was a member of District Council 21 Painters and Allied Trades Union Local 1269.
Tina M. Kocher, 52, of Walnutport, died Oct. 30, 2012, at ManorCare Health Services.
Born in Danielsville, she was a daughter of the late Alfred Sr. and Joyce (Jones) Montanaire.
She worked for ManorCare Health Services, Bethlehem, as a certified nursing assistant, and then as a nursing scheduler, for 20 years.
She is survived by a son, Russel F. Jr.and his wife Tiffany of Northampton; a grandson, Chase Kocher of Northampton; a sister, Nadine and her husband Gregory Glovas of Danielsville; nieces; and nephews.
Anne S. Gratz, 87, of Whitehall, died Oct. 23, 2012, in County Meadows of Allentown. She was the wife of Turney T. Gratz for 56 years.
Born in Bardstown, Ky., she was a daughter of the late Thomas J. and Jennie (Spalding) Stocker.
She taught for five years in Norfolk, Va., and for 30 years in the Easton Area School District, retiring in 1989.
She was a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church, Whitehall.
She was a member of the Golden Agers of Whitehall and of the PSEA-R and PASR.
Thomas W. Unger, 67, of Northampton, died Nov. 2, 2012, in Lehigh Township as a result of an accident due to cleanup from Hurricane Sandy. He was the husband of Connie S. (Rohr) for 39 years.
Born in Northampton, he was a son of the late Stephen J. and Rose (Paukovitz) Unger.
He earned a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Lafayette College, Easton, and a master's in business administration from Rutgers University, Camden, N.J.
He was senior vice president of production at Zinc Corporation of America, Palmerton, for 24 years before retiring in 1998.
Hilda Kohut, 82, of Whitehall, died Nov. 4, 2012, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. She was the wife of Stephen Kohut for 60 years.
Born in Ormrod, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Johanna (Steltzman) Malits.
She was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Whitehall, and of its Altar and Rosary Society.
Julia Martino, 45, died Nov. 4, 2012, of pneumonia.
She is survived by her fiance, Michael Mullikin; a sister, Denise and her husband Tom Shimkanonl and two nephews, Erik and Evan.
