Middle school girl found dead

Whitehall-Coplay Middle School is in shock following the death of Jasmine Star Flores, 13, a seventh-grade student.

Jasmine took her own life last Wednesday in a wooded area near the Lehigh River in Coplay, according to Coplay police.

Middle school Assistant Principal Jeff Krempasky said the Whitehall-Coplay School District provided grief counselors for students last Thursday and Friday.

"We are attempting to return to normalcy," Krempasky said.

Company building entered

Police were called March 7 for a report of people dressed in black inside the General Supply Company property.

The call came at 8:30 p.m., police said.

Coplay police, assisted by officers from the North Catasauqua and Whitehall police departments, checked the buildings, located off Bridge Street.

No one was found on the premises, police said.

Vehicle tire deflated

Coplay police responded Saturday to a report that someone tampered with a vehicle tire.

Fraud reported

State police on Feb. 27 responded to a report of unknown persons posing as Microsoft representatives.

The individuals tricked a 70-year-old Allen Township resident into providing her credit card information on the phone to the individuals, police said.

Meal stolen

Police were called March 3 for a report that someone left a restaurant without paying.

Police said two men departed the Red Robin restaurant, 1775 Airport Road, Hanover Township, Lehigh County, without paying the bill, which was $15.

Man refuses to leave apartment

A resident of the unit block of North Front Street summoned borough police late Saturday afternoon to her apartment to have her boyfriend removed from the premises.

The woman said her name is on the lease and she wanted her boyfriend to leave, but he refused to do so, police said.

Police said they spoke to the man, who agreed to leave, police said.

Dog attacked

A resident of the unit block of South Front Street informed police Feb. 28 that her dog had been attacked.
