OCT. 9

The department received reports of theft on Thomas Street, MacArthur Road and Mickley Run and at Whitehall Mall.

A fire on Jordan Drive was reported.

Two reports of harassment were received. One happened on South Fifth Avenue and the other on Overlook Road.

Officers investigated two disabled vehicles on MacArthur Road.

On MacArthur Road, a DUI crash brought police to the scene.

Officers responded to an animal complaint in the 100 block of Walnut Street for a possible abandoned dog. Police said the owner was located, and the dog was OK.

Members of the department conducted a citizen assist in the 300 block of Lehigh Street.

Police sought vehicle repossession information in the 200 block of Walnut Street

In the 400 block of Bridge Street, officers investigated a noise complaint.

On Faith Drive, police sought vehicle repossession information.

A weapons offense brought officers to Mechanicsville Road.

A retail theft on MacArthur Road was reported.

Officers responded to a threat on Zephyr Boulevard and suspicious activity on Lehigh Street.

Reports of property damage on Black Drive and on Mechanicsville Road resulted in investigation.

In the 200 block of Limestone Street, members of the department responded to a report of a disturbance. Police said the person left.

An assault occurred in the 700 block of Front Street, police said. The department is continuing the investigation.

On Pine Street, a subject was located.

At the department, 90 Bridge St., a soliciting permit was issued.

A dispute between brothers in the 200 block of Limestone Street brought out police to investigate.

Officers conducted a welfare check in the 100 block of South Second Street.

A hazardous road condition at South Second and Lehigh streets was investigated by police.

Police assisted a citizen in the unit block of South 12th Street.

The theft of a bicycle from the 200 block of Coplay Street was reported.

Borghesani pleads guilty to corruption of minors charge

Former Whitehall High School teacher David Andrew Borghesani appeared before Lehigh County Judge Kelly Banach Oct. 9 and pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of corruption of minors. It was a culmination of an investigative process that began last October with allegations from parents of the teacher’s misbehavior.

Sentencing is scheduled for Nov. 30.
