AUG. 19

Officers investigated domestic offenses against family on Redwood Drive and Peachtree Circle.

The department responded to a mental health call in the 3000 block of Coplay Lane.

Police were on the scene of a reported burglary in the 1100 block of MacArthur Road.

Suspicious activity on North Third and Main streets and Mickley Run was reported.

Officers handled a road rage incident on First Avenue.

A theft from a vehicle in the 2100 block of MacArthur Road was investigated.

AUG. 17

Disorderly conduct — a male observed urinating on a building — in the 1900 block of Main Street was reported to the department.

A report of a male and female trespassing in the 1900 block of Main Street was investigated.

AUG. 18

In the 200 block of Olive Alley, police responded to a hit-and-run accident. A legally parked vehicle was struck, damaging the middle of the driver side. White or silver transfer paint scuffs were observed.

Whitehall man dies in Route 22 crash

South Whitehall Township

A Whitehall Township man died Aug. 29 in a motorcycle crash on Route 22 East in South Whitehall Township.

According to a report from Pennsylvania State Police Troop M, Bethlehem, Adnan Hazim, 21, was the operator of a motorcycle that struck a stopped vehicle from behind just before 5 p.m. A nurse who was also in the traffic congestion got out of her vehicle and provided medical assistance to Hazim.

He was then transported by Cetronia Ambulance Corps to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, where he was pronounced dead.

A dog at large on Race Street was reported to the department.

In the 200 block of Canal Street, officers investigated a civil dispute.

Damage to a vehicle occurred in the 200 block of High Street.

At Catty Mart, 547 Front St., a phone was stolen, the report said.

Police assisted a citizen in the 700 block of Third Street.

A driver was cited in the 200 block of Race Street.

Officers conducted a citizen assist regarding a domestic issue in the 200 block of Church Street.

Police investigate child’s self-inflicted gunshot wound

Whitehall Township police are investigating a report of a 2-1/2-year-old injured in a self-inflicted shooting Sept. 2.

According to Police Chief Michael Marks, officers were called to an area hospital just after 11 a.m. for a report of a child who was the victim of an accidental shooting that occurred earlier inside a home in the 4100 block of Springmill Road. Marks said the child had been transported to the hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries before police were contacted.

AUG. 19

Police investigated a report of harassment in the 1300 block of Third Street.

An unwanted person in the 700 block of Locust Street was reported.

The department responded to a report of downed wires in the 1000 block of Fifth Street.

Officers assisted an outside agency in the 1400 block of Main Street.

AUG. 20

A sounding alarm in the 1400 block of Main Street brought police to the scene.

An assault in the 3400 block of North Ruch Street brought police to the scene.

Officers investigated criminal mischief on Bridge Street.

The department responded to disturbances on North Church and Second streets and Mickley Road.

The unauthorized use of a motor vehicle in the 1000 block of Mickley Run was reported.

Police were on the scene of an officer injury in the 2100 block of Park Drive.

Two-vehicle crash sends three to hospital

LEHIGH TOWNSHIP

Lehigh Township police responded to a report of a two-vehicle crash Aug. 25 at West Mountain View and Maple drives.

According to Police Chief Scott Fogel, when officers arrived at the scene, approximately 11:30 a.m., they found a silver Chevolet Equinox and a red Toyota Tundra pickup, both with heavy damage.

The driver of the pickup, Kim Gehris Jr., told police he was traveling east on Mountain View Drive when the Equinox, driven by Leon Borger, pulled out in front of him. The vehicles collided.

In the 100 block of Delaware Avenue, a vehicle was discovered on private property.

A burglary at Allentown Steel Fabricating Company Inc., 260 Race St., was investigated. Tools were taken, police said.

Criminal mischief — a hole in siding — in the 500 block of Church Street was reported.

A dispute in the 300 block of Howertown Road occurred.

Police said rail crossing gates were down on West Race Street.

Traffic stops were conducted in the 200 block of South Second Street. Written warnings and citations were issued.

Officers responded to an alarm that signaled an open door at Giant Food Store, 202 Chestnut St.

A report of ATVs traveling on the railroad property, along the Ironton Rail Trail, brought out police.

A bicycle was reported found in the unit block of South Second Street.
