AUG. 13

Police responded to a report of flooding in the area of South 12th Street and Tapler Drive.

A domestic disturbance in the 200 block of South Front Street was investigated.

Smoke in a residence in the 1100 block of Bernice Drive brought police to the scene.

The department assisted with a civil matter in the unit block of North Second Street.

A residential panic alarm in the 100 block of South Fourth Street was addressed.

AUG. 5

A barking dog in the 1200 block of Second Street was reported.

Officers assisted a citizen in the 1100 block of Fourth Street.

Dogs were found at Third and Cypress streets.

A traffic stop was conducted in the 1400 block of Main Street.

Officers assisted Coplay police with a domestic issue in the 400 block of Chestnut Street.

A traffic stop was performed in the 1200 block of Front Street.

Police were on the scene of an unattended death in the 3300 block of North Second Street.

Officers investigated thefts on Commerce Drive and Catasauqua Avenue and at Lehigh Valley Mall.

The department responded to multiple reports of fraud on Lehigh Street and on MacArthur Road.

A drug investigation brought police to the 2500 block of Mickley Avenue.

A road rage incident on North First Avenue was handled by police.

AUG. 8

The department said an investigation is continuing for an animal complaint case that occurred in the 600 block of South 14th Street.

Officers assisted North Catasauqua police with a disturbance call in the 1300 block of Fourth Street.

No-parking signs were issued in the 100 block of Walnut Street.

Police and the department’s K-9 assisted North Catasauqua officers with a house search in the 1000 block of Fifth Street. During the incident, a weapon was deployed.

A male shoplifting at Exxon, 2428 Main St., was reported.

Criminal mischief in the 1700 block of Lincoln Avenue brought out police to investigate. The report said a residence was egged.

A hit and run occurred in the 200 block of West 27th Street. A legally parked vehicle was struck, damaging the driver-side mirror.

Officers investigated a checking account fraud case in the 1800 block of Main Street.

A suspicious person in the 1600 block of Main Street was reported. The department said a male was asking for money and cigarettes.

A hit and run occurred at Whittier Place Apartments, 895 Walnut St.

On 11th Street, a tree was in the roadway. The fire department was also on the scene.

No-parking signs were issued in the 300 block of Mulberry Street.

On Second Street, officers sought vehicle repossession information.

The department responded to suspicious activity on North First Avenue and Main Street.
