Suspect sought in E. Allen stabbing

State Police

Pennsylvania State Police Troop M, Bethlehem, is seeking a suspect wanted for an attempted homicide.

The incident happened in the 600 block of Carriage Road, East Allen Township, just after 6 a.m. July 16.

According to police, the victim, a 20-year-old Hispanic male, was trying to break up a physical altercation when the known suspect, a 29-year-old Hispanic male, stabbed the victim in the chest with a folding knife.

The suspect fled the scene in a blue Honda Pilot SUV.

Police assisted an intoxicated male near Revolution Church, Race Street, by transporting him to his residence.

At Silver Manor, 2 Front St., police sought information regarding a missing dog.

A 42-year-old male from Catasauqua was arrested near 610 Front St. for driving under the influence.

In the 500 block of North 14th Street, a truck was ticketed.

Officers investigated a report of criminal mischief in the 1300 block of Howertown Road.

A disorderly group in the area of Lincoln and Green streets was reported.

A traffic stop was performed in the 1400 block of Main Street.

A theft from a vehicle in the 1000 block of Front Street brought police to the scene.

Officers assisted Coplay police with a report of a burglary and a noise complaint on South Second Street.

A borough ordinance was violated at Canal Street Park. The report said four people were cited for violating no-alcohol and no-swimming restrictions.

A suspicious male in the 900 block of Lincoln Avenue was reported.

Driver charged in crash that killed Catty passenger

Lehigh County District Attorney James Martin announced July 11 an Allentown man has been charged in relation to a fatal crash.

Corey Sickler, 26, of 315 Linden St., Allentown, has been charged with one count each of homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence, a felony of the second degree, and homicide by vehicle and accidents involving death or personal injury while not properly licensed, both felonies of the third degree.

DA, Whitehall police: Bethlehem gang member charged in June 1 incident

An alleged Bethlehem gang member has been arrested in the June double shooting at the Lehigh Valley Mall.

Lehigh County District Attorney James Martin and Whitehall Township Police Chief Michael Marks announced that 19-year-old Miles Harper, of 1206 Gordon St., Bethlehem, has been charged with two counts of attempted homicide and two counts of aggravated assault in the June 1 shooting that left two men wounded.

Officers checked on the welfare of a male in the 300 block of East Ninth Street.

A hit and run occurred in the 1900 block of Main Street. The report said the left-side mirror of a vehicle was struck by a vehicle towing a trailer. The offending vehicle continued north on Main Street.
