JUNE 25

A pool flotation device in the Lehigh River around the 700 block of Front Street was reported to police.

A truck took wires down in the 600 block of Walnut Street.

In the 200 block of Race Street, a report of a low-hanging wire brought police to the area.

Officers and the department’s K-9 assisted Whitehall police in the 2100 block of North First Avenue.

Police assisted Lehigh County Sheriff’s Office in the 100 block of Front Street.

At Lehigh Valley International Airport, 3311 Airport Road, officers assisted airport police with a report of a plane in trouble.

At 403 Wood St., police assisted a citizen and referred the case to Pennsylvania State Police.

On Covington Place, music was turned down after police investigated a noise complaint.

Officers were on the scene of a crash involving a DUI northbound on MacArthur Road.

Police investigated a burglary in the 700 block of Pennsylvania Street.

Criminal mischief on Main Street and MacArthur Road was reported.

A suspicious vehicle in the 1000 block of MacArthur Road was investigated.

Officers responded to a report of suspicious individuals at the rear of a residence in the unit block of North Second Street.

The department assisted a citizen in the 100 block of North Eighth Street.

Police assisted with a vehicle repossession in the 200 block of Coplay Street.

Officers investigated suspicious persons in the 1400 block of Main Street.

An animal complaint on Sixth and Chapel streets was reported.

Traffic stops were performed on Howertown Road, Fifth and Chapel streets and Third and Cypress streets.

JUNE 14

Police investigated reports of criminal mischief in the 600 block of Wyandotte Street.

A solicitor at Grove and Washington streets was reported.

Two explosives found in Main Street apartment

Northampton

Around 8:15 p.m. June 25, Northampton Borough Police Department responded to a call of two people trespassing in an apartment at 1854 Main St., Northampton. Police Chief Bryan Kadingo said the call came from a neighbor.

According to Kadingo, when officers arrived at the apartment, one of the persons had drug paraphernalia visible.

A search was then conducted, and two small explosives were found, the chief said.

The devices were handed over to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Two men rob Speedway

Whitehall

At approximately 10:56 p.m. June 25, Whitehall Township Police Department responded to a robbery that occurred at the Speedway, 2161 S. First Ave., Whitehall.

According to a news release from the department, there were reportedly two males who entered the store, and one of them displayed a handgun.

The police department said the males fled the store with an undisclosed amount of money.
