Police responded to a request to assist a citizen with a civil matter in the 300 block of Schreiber Avenue.

A complaint involving juveniles brought police to the unit block of North Front Street.

The department received a report of a tree limb down in the roadway in the 100 block of South Eighth Street.

Police responded to a report of a wire down in the 200 block of Schreiber Avenue.

Officers assisted Whitehall police in the 3700 block of Lehigh Street.

A bicycle was found in the unit block of South Seventh Street, the department said.

Police investigated a trespassing complaint in the 1100 block of Poplar Street. An adult male was arrested.

Scam targets senior citizens

Lehigh County District Attorney Jim Martin and Lehigh County Agency on Aging and Adult Services want to alert area seniors about a scam that recently came to light. It involves seniors receiving phone calls purportedly from the agency on aging and adult services.

Consumers are getting calls that appear to come from that office’s general telephone number — 610-782-3034. Aging and adult services is not making these calls. In fact, the office’s caller ID number would not show that number.

An unwanted female in the 2000 block of Main Street was reported to police.

The department issued an emergency protection-from-abuse order in the 600 block of Walker Drive.

A reportable accident at Main and Ninth streets involved two vehicles.

JUNE 18

In the 100 block of East 20th Street, a domestic dispute between two males and a female occurred.

Two males causing a disturbance in the 1400 block of Railroad Street was reported to police.

Shaun Best, 22, of Catasauqua, was arrested for simple assault and physical harassment and contact in the 400 block of Front Street.

Three no parking signs were issued in the 700 block of Second Street.

A juvenile was counseled in the 100 block of Wood Street, the department said.

An identification card was found at the department, 118 Bridge St.

Officers assisted a citizen who fell on Front Street.

Police assisted a citizen who fell in the 200 block of Circle Drive.

Suspects sought in dog shooting

WHITEHALL TOWNSHIP

Whitehall Township police are investigating a June 20 report of the shooting of a dog by an unknown person.

According to the report, at 10:30 p.m. June 20, police were called to the area of 503 W. Union St. for the shooting death of a dog.

Three males allegedly appeared in that area of West Union Street and were looking for a dog. When someone walked out of the home with a dog, one of the three males pulled out a gun and shot the dog, police said.

The three males then fled on foot.

At Turkey Hill Minit Market, 1060 Main St., a cellphone, left on the counter by a customer, was taken.

A fire alarm sounded in the 2700 block of Cherryville Road. Officers assisted the fire department with a residential fire.

JUNE 9

A domestic dispute between a male and female in the 1300 block of Newport Avenue occurred, the department said.
