AUG. 1

Criminal mischief in the unit block of West 21st Street was reported. A dining room window was smashed.

AUG. 2

A female shoplifting at Dollar General, 2016 Main St., brought police to these scene.

AUG. 3

Officers checked on the welfare of a male in the 2000 block of Main Street.

AUG. 7

A suspicious person in the 1600 block of Main Street was reported. The department said a male was asking for money and cigarettes.

Police responded to a disturbance in the unit block of South Front Street.

The department assisted Whitehall police with a report of mini bikes on the Ironton Rail Trail.

Police responded to a medical alert alarm in the 100 block of South Front Street.

An animal complaint in the 200 block of South Front Street was addressed.

In the 300 block of Edward Lane, police sought information regarding a suspicious vehicle.

A hit and run occurred at Whittier Place Apartments, 895 Walnut St.

On 11th Street, a tree was in the roadway. The fire department was also on the scene.

JULY 31

No-parking signs were issued in the 300 block of Mulberry Street.

On Second Street, officers sought vehicle repossession information.

Thefts from vehicles occurred on Chestnut Street and Spring Mill Road.

Animal complaints on East Columbia Street and MacArthur Road and at Whitehall Mall were addressed.

Police investigated a report of a missing adult in the 1100 block of West Tyler Street.

The department responded to suspicious activity on North First Avenue and Main Street.

A theft occurred in the 2600 block of MacArthur Road.

Traffic stops were conducted at Fourth and Main streets and at Howertown Road and Grove Street.

JULY 30

A report of a con artist in the 1400 block of Main Street brought police to the scene.

Officers responded to an ordinance violation in the 1100 block of Front Street.

A barking dog in the 1200 block of Second Street was reported.

Police responded to a report of juveniles breaking bottles at the basketball courts in the 100 block of Cherry Street.

Officers were on the scene to assist with a landlord/tenant dispute in the 200 block of South Front Street.

In the unit block of North Fourth Street, police responded to a neighbor dispute.

Two juveniles harassing an individual in the 100 block of South Second Street were reported.

The department checked on the welfare of a juvenile in the 800 block of Chestnut Street.

A vehicle was tagged in the 400 block of Bath Avenue.

Intoxicated persons in the 700 block of Second Street were reported. Police gave them a courtesy transport.

JULY 16

No-parking signs were issued on South 15th Street.

On South 10th Street, no-parking signs were requested.

A person committing a theft occurred in the 700 block of Second Street, police said.

Officers responded to animal complaints on Sixth Avenue and at Lehigh Valley Mall Lifestyle Center.

Police were on the scene of a person driving under the influence in the 2300 block of North First Avenue.
