JAN. 21

The department responded to a disturbance in the 200 block of South Second Street.

A parking complaint in the 100 block of Cherry Street was received.

Police assisted a citizen in the unit block of South Second Street.

Officers assisted Whitehall police with a report of a suspicious person in the 3100 block of North Third Street.

A suspicious person in the area of North Third and Hokendauqua streets was investigated.

Catasauqua man dies in crash

Terrance Ramnarine, 27, of Catasauqua, was pronounced dead 2:58 a.m. Jan. 31 at the scene of a motor vehicle accident in the 800 block of East Susquehanna Street, Salisbury Township.

Deputy Coroner Cassandra Schiffner was called to the scene of the accident. According to the coroner’s office, an autopsy was performed Jan. 31; the cause of death is attributed to injuries sustained from the motor vehicle accident.

The manner of death was ruled accident.

Suspected Allen Twp. bank robber taken into custody

State Police Troop M, Bethlehem, took a 19-year-old man into custody Jan. 29 in connection with the Jan. 26 bank robbery in Allen Township.

Police allege Dylan James Karba, whose last known address is Philadelphia, was the man who entered the First Northern Bank and Trust, 1449 Nor-Bath Blvd., Allen Township, at 1:35 p.m. on that day.

According to police, Karba allegedly left the bank with money after passing a note to a bank teller. He then fled the area to the west of the bank toward Northampton Borough on foot.

Police assisted the fire department with a report of a fire on Front Street.

A suspicious person on Pine Street was reported.

A suspicious person in the 100 block of Church Street was reported.

Officers assisted Lehigh County Juvenile Probation in the 200 block of Wood Street.

On Race Street, police investigated a report of a suspicious person.

Police were on the scene of a child abuse call in the 1300 block of Mickley Road.

Reports of fraud in the 2600 block of MacArthur Road and the 1500 block of Alta Drive were investigated.

A suspicious vehicle in the 200 block of Quarry Street was reported.

Officers responded to reports of abandoned vehicles on South Front Street and Ellsworth and Minnesota drives.

An animal complaint in the 200 block of Fullerton Avenue brought police to the scene.

A civil matter brought officers to the 300 block of Main Street.

Officers responded to a report of harassment in the 1800 block of Main Street.

Police responded to a report of a lost wallet in the parking lot of Paulie’s Family Restaurant, 1214 Chestnut St.

The department performed a welfare check in the 100 block of South Eighth Street.

A parking complaint in the unit block of North Fifth Street was received.

JAN. 16

Police were on the scene of a vehicle lockout at the gas station at Giant, 202 Chestnut St.

Officers handled a vehicle lockout in the unit block of Stonewood Place for Catasauqua police.

At Apartments for the Elderly, 118 Bridge St., homeless persons were reported in the hallway. Police gave them a courtesy transport.

On 10th Street, the theft of a vehicle occurred. It was later recovered.

Tickets were issued in the 700 block of Railroad Street.

A water problem brought police to the 200 block of Front Street.

On Front Street, a loaded pallet fell off a truck, the department said.

Police investigated a civil matter in the 100 block of Bridge Street.
