At 17-0, Central Whitehall League's Catty Brown is going to the championship.

Catty came back from a 4-0 deficit in the bottom of the seventh to defeat the Big Red Machine of Bowmanstown 2 on Sunday.

Catasauqua head Lehigh Valley Connie Mack (LVCM) head coach Jim Kober will await to see his team's seed in the postseason tournament.

Catty ended its season Wednesday night against Moore Township and had an 11-5 overall record.

Lehigh Valley's Carpenter Cup softball team, which includes Catasauqua player, Janae Matos, defeated Philadelphia Catholic's Carpenter Cup team, 10-5, in its first game of the double-elimination tournament on Monday at FDR Park in Philadelphia.

Catty Midget Brown had just 12 players on the roster, but the Central Whitehall League skipper Mike Henning has done a very effective job getting all of the players ample action, and finding success, too. The team had its season end Sunday in their second loss of a double-elimination tournament, falling to Laurys 16-4.

Koenig, a professional competitive shooter formerly of Alburtis and now residing in Hamburg, recently won his 15th Bianchi Cup shooting title at the Green Valley Rifle & Pistol Club range in Columbia, Missouri.

Catty Connie Mack's squad outhit the Slaters 9-6 on the road last Wednesday, but fell 7-4 as the Maroon and White scored three runs in the bottom of the third and four in the fourth frame.

The softball players from the Colonial League championship team are keeping real busy this summer.

Olivia Schlofer and Abby Preletz played for the Shockers 16U team this weekend at the Blast at the Beach Tournament in Ocean City, Maryland.

On Monday night at Opportunity Field in the Central Whitehall Baseball League winner's bracket semifinals, Catty Brown broke open a 7-7 tie to win 16-7, in a showdown with Catty White.

Adam Reinhart hurled three innings for Brown, followed by Tyler Monahan's three before Sebastian Arias closed out the victory.
