Now a senior, Dardis has seen enough of the broken promises of the past and is ready to take the next step in the program's future this spring. One of the initial steps to success this season was a 10-0 shutout over Palmerton in the team's opener.

Trexler, CHS look to avoid slow start

Wednesday, April 3, 2013 by JEFF MOELLER Special to the Press in Sports

Jeff Trexler is among the seniors on the Catasauqua baseball roster who all realize that time might not be on their side.

Trexler and his teammates are well aware of their team's 0-8 start last season that eventually salvaged aspirations of a Colonial League and district playoff bid. The Roughies did rally late in the season.

Beginning this week, Catty had a 0-2 record and a Wednesday afternoon meeting with Pen Argyl signaled the start of a busy remainder of the 2013 campaign...

"We looked at it like a scrimmage," stated Bradley, who figures to be a major contributor in the Roughies' pitching plans this spring. "We certainly don't take a loss lightly, but that was the first time we were outside all spring....
