The Bach Choir of Bethlehem will present "Let's Swingle" as its fifth gala concert and fundraiser featuring The Swingle Singers, 8 p.m. Oct. 6, Baker Hall, Zoellner Arts Center, Lehigh University, Bethlehem.
Runners-up in the "Bach-appella Competition" for high school and college a cappella ensembles give a pre-concert performance at 7:40 p.m. The winning ensemble performs as part of the Swingle Singers' concert.

Theater classic: Father Gerard J. Schubert, above left, stepped out of retirement to direct "Arsenic and Old Lace," Sept. 26 - Oct. 7, DeSales University, Main Stage, 2755 Station Avenue, Center Valley. The classic comedy kicks off Act 1's season. Schubert, who founded the DeSales' theater department in 1969, previously directed "Arsenic and Old Lace" for Act 1 in 1981 and 1996. Playwright George Batson's murder mystery is as much a tale of intrigue and suspense as it is socio-economic commentary.
So many of us remember those days sitting at a piano, where our legs would swing freely in front of the bench because they were just too short to reach the floor.
Little, pudgy fingers would cautiously press on the piano keys, halting for seconds, and sometimes even minutes between chords. Looks of extreme concentration would adorn our faces as we struggled with figuring out the notes on the printed page of the music in front of us.
Kilts and Celts will descend upon Bethlehem for the 25th annual Celtic Classic.
What was once a tiny festival conceived by a small group of individuals dedicated to preserving Celtic heritage has blossomed into the largest Celtic event in North America.
The Celtic Classic, Sept. 28 - 30, features food, music, and sport, all with roots in the rich Celtic tradition.
More than 250,000 people travel to Bethlehem to partake in the Celtic Classic.
The fastest member of the Animal Kingdom has had another successful nesting season here in the Keystone State.
According to Pennsylvania Game Commission falcon program coordinator Dr. F. Arthur McMorris, there were 32 pairs of confirmed Peregrine Falcon nesting sites across Pennsylvania in 2012.
Out of the 32 confirmed nests, 22 of the pairs had success nesting. These breeding pairs raised 62 young falcons.
Mezzo-soprano Steph-anie Blythe will present her cabaret performance of music by American icon Kate Smith.
The show, "We'll Meet Again: The Songs of Kate Smith," 8 p.m. Sept. 22, Symphony Hall, Allentown, features Blythe accompanied by pianist Craig Terry.
"The show is a tribute to the great American singer Kate Smith. It is not an impersonation show," says Blythe. "I don't pretend to be Kate Smith or try to sing like Kate Smith."
In addition to the songs, Blythe offers background and biographical material about Kate Smith.
