Moses Pendleton calls himself an "avant-gardener," who likes to see things grow, and uses this principle in his dance choreography.
Pendleton founded and is artistic director of MOMIX, an internationally-known avant-garde dance company, which performs "Botanica," 7 p.m. Nov. 4, Baker Hall, Zoellner Arts Center, Lehigh University, Bethlehem.
Erin Cassano, a former MOMIX company manager, gives a free pre-show lecture, "MOMIX from the Inside."
The InVision Photography Festival returns to Bethlehem for its third year of celebrating the visual art of photography, Nov. 2 - 4, with workshops and presentations at ArtsQuest Banana Factory and SteelStacks, Bethlehem.
During the three days, photographers share, celebrate and learn. The festival puts the spotlight on the work of several female photographers including Joyce Tenneson, Zoe Strauss and Amy Arbus, as well as other accomplished photographers.

"Eleven" includes the singles "Teenage Daughters" and "I'm Gonna Love You Through It." McBride, a Grammy winner, has won the Country Music Association "Female Vocalist of the Year" award four times (a tie with Reba McEntire for the most wins) and the Academy of Country Music "Top Female Vocalist" award three times. Five of McBride's singles have gone to No. 1 on the country chart 1995 - 2001, and one hit No.

Janis Ian is no stranger to the Lehigh Valley area, as she has made frequent tour stops, including Bethlehem's Musikfest. Janis Ian is back, 8 p.m. Oct. 25, Sellersville Theatre, 24 W. Temple Avenue, Sellersville.
"It's a great theater," says Ian about Sellersville, where she's also previously performed. "There's always a good audience, fantastic stage, great sound and mikes [microphones]."
The Baum School of Art presents "In Memory of Adrienne Snelling," a memorial exhibition, Oct. 24 - Nov. 16, Rodale Family Gallery, honoring one of Allentown's beloved and highly respected citizens and photographers. The opening reception is 6 - 8 p.m. Oct. 24.
